Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving

So I found a great Pinspiration from Kerruticles. You should check out their site.

I made a first attempt with colors I already had, but it really didn’t jive with me. My orange wasn’t right. Kerruticles called their’s “Saffron” and I didn’t have one that really matched, it was just an orange. Well, I found one as well as the right shade of yellow. I was much happier with my 2nd attempt.

Day 12 – Stripes

Day 12 – Stripes

image

Do Day 12 was stripes. I really liked the Pinspiration I found as it was autumn themed as well as went with The Challenge.
I did a base coat of “Gold Medal”, by Sinful Colors to give my gold glitter a background. Otherwise the glitters tend to not show up very well. Then “Dizzy”, by L.A. Colors, which is my medium glitter. I have a fine, medium and coarse glitter variants. I gave it a little while to dry then put on my artist tape and did two coats of “Red-ail Gypsy “, by Color Club.
It was a little rough up close, but from the end of my arm it looked greart!

Welcome Summer

Welcome Summer

So, summer as officially begun for me. School ended yesterday and we waved all the kiddys off.
It’s sad, because I’ll miss them. This is after all, my passion and to have to put it on hold, put it aside for the summer makes me sad.
But summer should be fun and happy, so here are my happy welcome summer nails.

White base, “French Tip” by Color Club.
Yellow stripes, “Firefly” by Sinful Colors.
Blue accent, #170, by Eva Supreme.

Color Club, found at Big Lots.
The other two are available at Walgreens.

Candy Cane Christmas!

Candy Cane Christmas!

With Candy Canes and Silver Lanes aglow!

These are my candy cane nails, they turned out sooo good, I am so happy with them. I did a base coat of Ruby Ruby (Sinful Colors), follwed by a topcoat of my new Ruby Pumps (mini China Glaze). I waited a day before taping off slanted lines and painting on Snow Me White (Sinful Colors).  Just a few more hours!

Daisy Chains and Sparkly Stripes

Daisy Chains and Sparkly Stripes

I did both my fingers and toes this weekend. I found both of these designs on Pinterest, which I know you’re shocked to hear. The fingers I pretty much followed the picture, while on the toes (piggys)  I adjusted the colors slightly. I also purchased some rhinestone stickers and a glass dappen cup, which I’ll use as to keep my artbrush clean when I make my designs.

For my fingers I did a delicate little daisy chain (<<original design). I painted the base color last night so it would be completely dry. The flowers are done in white and yellow. Use the white to make a flower shape and the yellow fills the center.

For my toes I found this really cute multi-colored design for little piggys. Just to warn you, the website is in Chinese. :/ But you can still look at the pictures! I used a more muted pink and a light blue. There’s also a glitter accent nail. The big piggy has the art work on it, with stripes in all the colors used. I also used some of the rhinestones to add a bit of bling.
