So I found a great Pinspiration from Kerruticles. You should check out their site.
I made a first attempt with colors I already had, but it really didn’t jive with me. My orange wasn’t right. Kerruticles called their’s “Saffron” and I didn’t have one that really matched, it was just an orange. Well, I found one as well as the right shade of yellow. I was much happier with my 2nd attempt.

Saw this on Pinterest. It turned out great. This picture was taken a few days after application, so the tips are a little chipped. But it still looks cute.
Monday was my girlfriend’s husband’s birthday. He is an Edmonton (Canada) native and a fan of the Edmonton Oilers hockey team. She surprised him by renting out an ice rink for an hour and the group of us (attempted) a hockey game. It was really funny watching him skate circles around all us Floridians. For my nails I did the Oilers colors of royal blue and orange. Of course, most of my students thought they were Gator (football) colors.
I saw the polka dots on Pinterest and did them on every other nail. I got several compliments on them and they met my “makes me smile” rule.
So I did my oranges last week; I gave about 7. I’be been having a bit of trouble with posts not posting, so sorry for the delay.
Here is the right hand.
Also, Happy Valentine’s Day, I hope yours was lovely.
These were my Thanksgiving nails, which of course I found on Pinterest. They turned out just like the picture!
Happy Hunger Games! My best friend threw a Hunger Games Party for her sister. There was a princess party last week, but I was are my convention. 🙂 I didn’t do my nails, since I went as an extra at the Reaping. But I did She For Who the Party Was For. I did “Girl on Fire” nails.

So its only the 11th of January and I’m already having a great, bright year. God has been gracious and generous and has provided for me. Even the little things like a school calendar. My nails were, unintentionally, as bright as my week.
Happy Go Lucky – China Glaze (got for Christmas)

Ok, so I’ve really fallen behind in my posts, I do apologize. So I have several posts to show you. Again I apologize for the delay, these past few days have just been hectic.
First of we have a Buffy inspired nail, specifically Drusilla. I loved the way this turned out, it looked so funky and fun. Drusilla may be creepy, but she’s got great “taste.” Heehee
For Halloween I was Dorothy from Wizard of Oz. I’ve done several Dorothy themed birthdays and I had all the props, and I borrowed the dress from a friend. And other than being a very popular choice, Oz is also a running joke in one of my science fiction shows (Stargate SG1). I had originally done a character on each nail, but they were very blah. So I left Glinda and Elfaba, as well as one Tin Man.
Finally, I did my nails for a Doctor Who convention. I went as Amy Pond, and she tends to go for the more funky nail colors. We had so much fun at the convention!
So I pinned a picture from Pinterest because the grey and orange nails really struck me; I thought the orange accent was very striking against the grey. Well, then I actually went to the website. They’re not grey, she just shot the picture in black & white and left one nail in color. Anyway, I did the grey and orange anyway, and it I really like how it turned out. Like I thought, very striking, and a nice fall combo. 🙂
