I don’t remember where I got this idea, but I’m just going to assume Pinterest. I loved how lady like and elegant it looked.
For those of you who watched The Magic School Bus as kids, you may recall that Ms. Frizzle always reminded her students to, “Take Chances, Make Mistakes, Get Messy!” Which is in part, the inspiration of my tagline, “If You Don’t Try, You’ve Already Failed.” The point being, you’ve got to at least give it a go.
Well, I did. I painted a color block/swatch design on Sunday that I had seen on Pinterest a long while ago. I wasn’t all that thrilled with the end result, but I decided to live with it for a day. But it didn’t meet my “Makes Me Happy” qualifications, which for me means that through-out the day as I catch a glimpse of my nails, they make me smile. Well, these color blocks made me feel like color blech. I was not happy with the results.
So I changed it this afternoon. I did the muted purples that I saw from Glitter and Nails with the sparkle accent nail. I don’t have the rose color, but I do like the way it turned out. They make me happy. 🙂
I got almost a week out of the orange and blue. Interestingly some of the white dots came off, which I found odd. But they still looked good if you didn’t get too close. So I’ve put on a new color, fingers and toes. The fingers, it’s a new color I got a week ago and have finally been able to try. The color is by Sinful Colors and is called Easy Going. It’s a nice pale pink, but not opaque, so it didn’t take a gagillion coats. Also, the shade kind of makes it look like I’ve got a tan.
For my toes, I saw an idea on Pinterest which I used on my toes. When I saaw it on Pinterest I got really excited because I knew I had those exact colors. Both of the toe colors are by NYC (New York Color), and they are Park Ave (mauve) and Lincoln Center (dark red). Click here for the site that has the original design idea, please check it out.
